You know me too well, Shel.

Tryin' On Clothes

I tried on the farmer's hat,
Didn't fit...
A little too small -- just a bit
Too floppy.
Couldn't get used to it,
Took it off.

I tried on the dancer's shoes,
A little too loose.
Not the kind you could use
for walkin'.
Didn't feel right in 'em,
Kicked 'em off.

I tried on the summer sun,
Felt good.
Nice and warm -- knew it would.
Tried the grass beneath bare feet,
Felt neat.
Finally, finally felt well dressed,
Nature's clothes fit me best.

I found this and it made me smile and think of the summer and how I can't wait for it to come. That is all.

Oh and props to Shel Silverstein.

The Weekend Getaway

Two days ago was Resurrection Sunday (praises). I can't even describe to you my love for my Savior and the gratefulness I have in my heart for what He did for all of us. I pray I'm reminded of it every day.
...
This weekend I stayed at the roommate's household once again. Always a joy. I've been blessed with such great friends this year, as always. God never ceases to amaze me with the people He puts in my life. Good times were had this weekend and, though it was short, my heart feels full and my fun-o-meter has reached new heights. I'm just so grateful for fun times, accepting chaps, and loving hearts. So glad I've been introduced to the 757 clan.

Perspective

Do you see the cup half full or half empty?

I've always avoided these answers and went with my own...
It depends on if it was full or empty in the first place.

However, now that I think about it, what does it matter if it's half full or half empty? What matters is that there's still room for it to be filled. So I say, fill 'er up!

...who wants a half [either] cup anyway?

::sigh::

So the big news today is that Michelle Obama touched the queen of England.

I was thinking that we should be focusing on the crashing economy and whatnot. Boy, do I have to get my priorities straight or what?

Oh, you guys.

I've been fooled by one Feagan and one Smark. Oh, the festivities of April Fool's Day...
