Why do I think that when I feel close to God, I deserve blessings? What a self righteous attitude. I don't deserve anything from Him. John 1:16 says "From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another."

I'm an unworthy sinner who receives gracious love, mercy, and salvation from an almighty Savior. This should be at the forefront of my thinking every single day. I breathe everyday, don't I? Is that not a blessing in and of itself? He's such a generous God, isn't He?
I thank God for this humbling experience that put things in perspective for me. Just another part of the learning process.
